About the Doctor
Dr. Bardia Asgari is a board-certified internal medicine physician based in Shelton, Connecticut. With over 20 years of clinical experience, he is the founder and primary physician at Primary Care of Shelton LLC, where he has been providing comprehensive and personalized care to the community since 2007.
Born into a family of physicians, his mother an anesthesiologist and his father a surgeon in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Asgari was inspired to pursue a career in medicine from an early age. He earned his medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, graduating at just 24 years old in 1993.
After completing a four-year orthopedic residency at Bucharest Emergency Hospital, he relocated to the United States. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 2000. He then worked as an attending physician until launching his private practice in Shelton.
