Dr. Fereidoun Abtin is a renowned thoracic interventional radiologist based in California. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in the minimally invasive treatment of thoracic cancers, including lung cancer, mesothelioma, and thymoma. With a focus on cutting-edge, image-guided therapies, Dr. Abtin has become a leader in the development and application of advanced techniques for thoracic oncology.

Dr. Abtin is especially skilled in performing lung biopsies and ablative procedures for both primary and metastatic pulmonary tumors. His clinical proficiency includes:

• Microwave ablation (MWA)
• Cryoablation – where he has pioneered its use in treating pulmonary cancers

He currently serves as the Director of the Thoracic Imaging Research Laboratory and the Santa Monica Outpatient Center.
